Absinthe 2.0 Untethered iOS 5.1.1 Jailbreak Tool Demoed on Video

Few hours ago we had reported that Pod2G’s untethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak tool is ready for release and it should be released at Hack in the box conference. Before you start guessing what will be the name of jailbreak tool here is some interesting stuff which will take away your guess work.

Based on Xvolks tweets, iPhone hacker and close to Pod2G, the iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak tool will be called Absinthe 2.0, yes it has same name but different version to that of iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak tool. It was Pod2G who had released Absinthe iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak tool, first even tool released to jailbreak iPhone 4S and other older devices.

I have my new bootrom 3gs jailbroken untethered on iOS 5.1.1 thanks to the new Absinthe v2.0-rc1.I'm currently testing with iPhone4...

I've tested Absinthe v2 on my iPhone 4 GSM, iOS 5.1.1. It jailbroke it flawlessly.I've took a (bad) video of it ;)

Xvolks has also posted demo video of Absinthe 2.0 in action, and he also says that he has successfully jailbreaked iPhone 4 iOS 5.1.1 using Absinthe 2.0. Video after the break,

Absinthe 2.0 iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak tool will be released this week and supports all the iOS devices (list is here).  The Absinthe 2.0 is identical to old Absinthe iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak tool and will have fewer steps to get untethered jailbreak.
