Jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 7 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, 3G & iPad
Now that iOS 5 Beta 7 is available for download those developers having apps for jailbroken iOS devices must be looking for testing their apps on iOS 5 beta 7 to check for compatibility. Thanks to Geohot’s limera1n bootroom exploit which made it possible to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, 4G & iPad 1 for any iOS releases.
It just takes little updating to jailbreak tools such as Redsn0w & Sn0wbreeze to support newly released iOS firmware. However the bootrom exploit can’t get us untethered jailbreak for that we need additional kernel exploit to make tethered jailbreak to untethered jailbreak.
If you are comfortable with tethered jailbreak then Redsn0w 0.9.8b7 can jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 7 on all iOS devices (except iPad 2). Just that you need to point Redsn0w 0.9.8b7 to iOS 5 Beta 6 IPSW file instead iOS 5 Beta 7. Also every time you reboot your device you must use Redsnw0w tethered boot option to boot your device.
