Do not update to iOS 5.0.1, if you want Untethered Jailbreak iOS 5
Few days back we had reported about Pod2G’s finding of untether exploit which can get us untethered jailbreak on iOS 5 for all iOS devices. However since Apple has already seeded iOS 5.0.1 to developers, the dilemma of whether to update to iOS 5.0.1 or not when it comes to public has been spreading among iPhone users.
Before we speak about to update or not, let us inform you about Charlier Miller, one of known security expert who has found several vulnerability on Apple iOS in past. The most interesting part was, yesterday he demoed one more vulnerability in iOS 5 which could allow approved apps to download and install unsigned code on iOS without user intervention.
Following this finding by Miller, Apple quickly terminated Charlier Miler’s iOS developer account and also removed his Stock app from App store which he used for demo purpose.
Many users asked about possibility of utilizing the exploit found by Charlier for untethered jailbreak, Here now we have some concrete information. Pod2g just tweeted that The miller’s exploit can be utilized for untethered iOS 5 jailbreak and users must not update to iOS 5.0.1 as Apple will close this hole in iOS 5.0.1 as soon as possible.
